Position: Medical Assistant (MA)
Location: New York, NY 10032
Shift: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM (includes a 60-minute break)
Department: Comprehensive Transplant Service Line

Job Summary:

This is a 59-day assignment requiring a Monday to Friday schedule with no weekends, overtime, or holiday shifts. The Medical Assistant will support the transplant service line through various clinical and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in patient registration and preparation for appointments.
• Perform phlebotomy and IV procedures as needed.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system, specifically EPIC.
• Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards in the clinical environment.
• Provide support to healthcare professionals in patient care activities.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of IV experience (required).
• Experience in phlebotomy (required).
• Graduate of a State and/or Nationally accredited Medical Associate Program (required).
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Completion of EPIC training is required prior to start.
