Position Overview:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Rehabilitation Department, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to patients undergoing rehabilitation. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients with daily activities, monitoring their health, and ensuring their comfort and well-being under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Provide mobility support, including transferring patients from beds to wheelchairs and assisting with walking exercises.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration rate.
• Report any changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff promptly.
• Assist with range-of-motion exercises and other therapeutic activities as directed by the rehabilitation team.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following proper infection control procedures.
• Help prepare patients for therapy sessions and transport them to and from therapy areas.
• Assist with the use of medical equipment and devices as needed.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation journey.
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
