Role: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Detroit, MI 48243
Shift: Hybrid (50% onsite as required)
Contract Duration: 10+ months
Pay: $17 - $19/hr

Responsibilities:

• Assist in providing pharmacy services within a high-volume concierge contact center.
• Process Coverage Determination Requests within CMS timeframes.
• Communicate pharmacy benefits clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain strong attention to detail while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service.
• Handle third-party claims processing while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years of pharmacy experience or completion of a certified pharmacy technician program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pharmacy Retail, PBM, Hospital, or Managed Care.
• Working knowledge of third-party claims processes and prescription drug names/therapeutic classes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access).

Certifications:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare Part D, CMS/NCQA regulations, and pharmacy claims processing is a plus.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Contact center experience is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment.
