Position: Procurement Administrator
Location: Springdale, AR
Duration: 3+ Months (This position is currently listed as 3 months but may be extended based on performance.)
Shift: 1st Shift

Job Description:

This role is responsible for managing the administrative and transactional functions of the indirect purchasing team. Responsibilities include creating purchase orders, managing inquiries through the Procurement Ops shared folder, and promoting best practices in the purchase-to-pay process. The role ensures compliance with policy and program standards at various locations. Other duties involve generating reports to monitor KPIs, communicating with plants to resolve issues, and collaborating with suppliers to address pricing, invoicing, and ordering errors. The individual is also expected to respond to phone calls and emails within 24 hours and provide coverage for other support staff when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create purchase orders and manage procurement inquiries
  • Promote and enforce best practices in the purchase-to-pay process
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and programs
  • Generate and analyze reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Resolve issues related to pricing, invoicing, and ordering with suppliers
  • Communicate with plant locations regarding issue resolution
  • Respond to phone calls and emails within 24 hours
  • Provide support and coverage for other administrative staff as needed

Requirements:

  • Education: Post-high school education, including vocational school or college courses, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience related to purchasing, accounts payable, supplier management, or operations
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required; SAP experience preferred
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have direct reports
  • Special Skills: Strong judgment and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret policies and procedures, multi-task, and manage heavy workloads in a fast-paced environment
