Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.
Certifications:
ACLS (AHA)
BLS (AHA)
Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license or Registered Respiratory Therapist.
PALS (AHA).
Responsibilities:
Provide and administer all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment as outlined in department policies.
Deliver respiratory therapy under medical direction, focusing on the education, treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
Assist with intubation and manage ventilator setup and monitoring.
Evaluate patient needs by gathering necessary information, conducting disease education, and coordinating with healthcare professionals.
Develop a respectful rapport with patients/caregivers and collaborate with the team to support goal achievement.
Provide and document patient/caregiver education based on identified needs in an understandable manner.
Adhere to organizational standards of behavior and competencies.
Perform physical tasks, including lifting, pushing, pulling a minimum of 5 lbs., and standing for at least 1 hour per day.
Maintain regular contact with medical personnel and visitors.
