Job Description: CT Technologist – Imaging Department
Location: Ithaca, NY
Shift: 7 PM - 6:30 AM
Shifts per Week: 4
Hours per Shift: 10-hour shifts

Position Overview:
As a CT Technologist working the night shift, you will be responsible for performing CT scans on inpatients and emergency room patients, as well as conducting daily quality assurance (QA) on the machines. This position plays a critical role in providing diagnostic imaging services during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities:

CT Scanning:

• Perform CT scans for both inpatients and ER patients.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Follow proper protocols and guidelines for CT scanning to produce accurate diagnostic images.

Quality Assurance (QA):

• Conduct daily QA checks on CT equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff to ensure clarity and efficiency in the imaging process.

Compliance and Safety:

• Adhere to all safety standards, radiation safety procedures, and organizational protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum of two years of experience as a CT Technologist.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
• Proficiency in operating CT scanning equipment and familiarity with quality control processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions.
