Job Title: Senior Technical Business Analyst

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Technical Business Analyst with expertise in supporting full software development and data management lifecycles on projects. This role will be critical in ensuring that business processes, technical architectures, and data architectures are well-documented and maintained, adhering to strong change control practices. The analyst will use discovery, diagramming, documentation, and data analysis to recommend process improvements and enhance business continuity.

The ideal candidate should have experience working with SQL and presenting complex technical challenges to executive management. Additionally, project management skills and familiarity with governance structures, peer reviews, and risk management are essential. This is a long-term engagement, with the candidate expected to work in a hybrid remote capacity, coming to the Quincy, MA office when requested.

Job Duties:

Core Business Analysis Skills:

  • Develop a deep understanding of business processes, system flows, data integrations, and leadership structure.
  • Manage document and requirement traceability across business, system, data, and technical domains.
  • Lead requirement gathering sessions and document creation while designing solutions and user/system test scripts.
  • Enforce change control procedures to ensure all business impacts and dependencies are understood and documented.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Data Analysis & Mapping Skills:

  • Provide expertise in data discovery, mapping, and analysis using tools such as SQL queries, stored procedures, and web services.
  • Analyze data quality and integrity, merging data sources to gain business insights.
  • Define and document data mapping, validations, and transformation rules for data exchange across systems.
  • Develop detailed technical documentation, data dictionaries, and transformation rules to support system integrations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate Webservices solutions and maintain smooth data operations.
  • Ensure proper adherence to privacy and security policies.

Testing Skills:

  • Plan and execute comprehensive testing strategies to validate the accuracy of data exchanges.
  • Collaborate with teams to design technical product specifications, user stories, and performance metrics.
  • Work with the QA team to ensure testing completion meets project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Proactively manage risks and obstacles to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, mentoring junior team members and enhancing their skills.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in business analysis techniques for requirement and design documents.
  • Technical knowledge in applications, data processes, and technologies (e.g., Java, .NET, Oracle, SQL Server, Cloud).
  • Proficiency with Jira, SQL queries, Rational Quality Manager (RQM), and ADA compliance.
  • Strong familiarity with NIST security standards and handling PII/PHI data.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis and data integration.
  • Experience with SDLC, use cases, testing methodologies, and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional certification in IIBA, Six Sigma, TOGAF, or 5+ years of experience in IT application implementations.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Business, System, and Data Analysis in an IT healthcare environment.
  • At least 3 years of business and data analysis in IT software development or business applications.
  • Strong technical, writing, and presentation skills.
