Title: Senior Systems Analyst

Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst for the Pharmacy System, MassRx. This role involves overseeing the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for system changes, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with pharmacy claims, NCPDP standards, and vendor management, and will be adept at working in a matrix organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of pharmacy claims processing and rebate system enhancements.
  • Manage the SDLC for system changes, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Write and manage change orders, ensuring documentation and stakeholder approval.
  • Prioritize system change requests and monitor development to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare status reports and create requirements documentation for system enhancements.
  • Develop detailed design documents and technical specifications based on user requirements.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability; conduct maintenance and optimizations.
  • Develop and execute test plans; identify and resolve production issues.
  • Apply knowledge of pharmacy claims processing and NCPDP standards; ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support; act as a Subject Matter Expert.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation; provide training and support to users.
  • Review regulatory changes and recommend system modifications as needed.
  • Support procurement activities including writing technical requirements and evaluating responses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience as a systems analyst, focusing on claims processing.
  • Knowledge of NCPDP standards and experience with 24/7 systems.
  • Proven experience in managing the full SDLC and leading system changes.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within project teams.
  • Experience with Agile Methodology, large-scale healthcare systems, Medicaid rebating, system procurement, and vendor management.
  • Certification in relevant industry standards or technologies.
