Job Description: Registered Nurse Supervisor
Location: Pembroke, NC, 28372
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
Contract Duration: 9 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse Supervisor (RNSUP) provides clinical and administrative leadership within the healthcare facility. The role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, overseeing nursing staff, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of nursing staff within the assigned area.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
  • Conduct regular staff evaluations and provide feedback for performance improvement.
  • Ensure that all patients receive timely and appropriate medical care.
  • Assist in developing individualized care plans for patients.
  • Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Manage schedules, staffing, and any related operational aspects to ensure adequate coverage at all times.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Monitor patient outcomes and nursing practices to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
  • Implement and enforce infection control protocols, safety procedures, and quality assurance measures.
  • Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to nursing staff.
  • Ensure all nursing staff is up-to-date on certifications and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Management is preferred.

License

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle high-stress environments and emergency situations.
  • Proficient in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR).
  • This position ensures high standards of patient care and plays a critical role in maintaining smooth nursing operations at the Pembroke Center.
