Job Title: Oracle Developer - Expert
Duration: 30 months
Schedule: 8-hour workdays between 7:30 am and 6 pm
Location: Albany, NY (Onsite)

Job Description:

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Expert-level experience (7 years or more)

Desired Requirements:

  • 7 years experience using Microsoft Visual Studio for C# and/or ASP.NET applications in an n-tier web deployment.
  • 7 years experience developing and maintaining web applications using HTML, XML, JSON, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and CSS.
  • 7 years experience with Oracle database design, PL/SQL coding, stored procedures, packages, indexes, triggers, table creation, etc.
  • 7 years experience interpreting business requirements and building logic within application code.
  • 7 years experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) including .NET web services (WCF), SOAP/RESTful APIs, message and queue processing, and Enterprise Service Bus; experience with microservices design and implementation.
  • 3 years experience developing applications that follow Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0.
  • 4 years experience with MVC 5 or later versions.
  • 2 years experience designing and implementing CI/CD workflows.
  • 2 years experience coding and maintaining applications with HIPAA Protected Health Information (PHI).

Responsibilities:

  1. Execute the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
  2. Use Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 or higher for coding with MVC Architecture, .NET, JavaScript, Angular, Ajax, HTML, XML, and WCF.
  3. Prepare scripts for Oracle database tasks: create/modify tables, indexes, constraints, triggers, views, and code stored procedures/packages; convert/migrate data as needed.
  4. Diagnose and troubleshoot application report issues using Crystal Reports.
  5. Mentor and assist other programmers in debugging, securing, deploying applications, and managing data access.
  6. Use source code repositories like Tortoise SVN, Visual SVN, or TFS for code management.
  7. Manage incidents and service requests in the IT Service Management System; coordinate with ITS personnel for application releases and changes.
  8. Diagnose and debug production issues reported via ITSM; escalate critical issues and participate in bridge calls.
  9. Report task status and outstanding issues to the supervisor.
