Job Description:

Join our accredited Congenital Pediatric Echo Lab in Houston, TX, where you will work collaboratively with a dynamic team using advanced ultrasound equipment. In this role, you will perform echocardiograms on pediatric patients with congenital heart disease, across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Your responsibilities will include preparing and examining patients, ensuring accurate preliminary reports, and communicating critical findings promptly.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct echocardiograms on pediatric patients with congenital heart conditions.
• Verify patient identity and obtain health history and cooperation prior to the exam.
• Ensure that ultrasound examinations align with the patient’s clinical history and presentation.
• Inform the physician of any contraindications to the procedure.
• Demonstrate proficiency in various echocardiogram modalities.
• Analyze medical records, prepare and present preliminary reports for cardiologist review, including comparisons with previous studies.
• Perform measurements and calculations per laboratory and IAC guidelines.
• Provide oral summaries of preliminary findings to cardiologists.
