Title: Physical Therapist Assistant
Location: Wayne, NJ
Department: Rehab
Shift: 7 am - 3 pm, 3 pm - 11 pm, 11 pm - 7 am
Duration: 13 weeks contract with possible extension
Job Description:
Under the supervision of a physical therapist, administers varied types of physical therapy treatments to residents to restore function, prevent disability, and help them reach maximum performance.
Knowledge of standards, theory, principles, methods, and commonly used equipment of physical therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training.
Ability to carry out prescribed physical therapy with skill in muscle reeducation, corrective exercise, gait training, and coordination.
Ability to observe accurate reactions and progress or lack of progress of residents and to record same appropriately.
Ability to prepare reports, write progress notes, and maintain other records and files.
Skills:
Must possess a current, valid license as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the NJ Board of Physical Therapy
