Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: Neptune, NJ, 07754
Hours Per Week: 36 hours
Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (3 x 12-hour shifts per week)

• Every other weekend required
• 3 out of 6 holidays required
• Voluntary on-call available

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery (L&D) is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting assessments and determining care priorities through planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Developing and coordinating individualized care plans for patients based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing patient care.
• Documenting care following standards of care, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocating for evidence-based practice and supporting innovations in care delivery.
• Providing patient-centric care in line with professional nursing models.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) care, including OR circulation for C-sections, baby care, and management of patients on Magnesium Sulfate.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Advanced AWHONN or Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
