Job Title: Instructional Designer II
Location: New York, NY 10017
Duration: 3 Months
Hours Per Week: 40
Shift: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday (75% remote/virtual, 25% onsite)

Overview: A dynamic organization is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer II to join its Talent Development and Learning team. This role focuses on designing and facilitating impactful learning experiences that align with the organization’s mission and values. The position offers a hybrid working environment with a majority of remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Course Design: Create engaging and creative learning activities and courses that enhance comprehension and retention.
  • Facilitation: Lead live instructor-led virtual and in-person learning sessions.
  • Program Development: Contribute to the research, development, and management of professional and workforce development programs.
  • Needs Assessment: Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify challenges and recommend learning strategies.
  • Learning Experience Development: Work with team members to design research-based, impactful learning experiences.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on learning and development (L&D) trends, incorporating cutting-edge practices into training and professional development.
  • Evaluation: Design and collect evaluation data to assess the effectiveness of learning initiatives and make iterative improvements.
  • Content Creation: Develop program materials including presentations, job aids, workbooks, facilitator guides, and course journals.
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
  • Project Management: Apply project management skills to oversee learning initiatives and special projects, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced Instructional Designers and Training Specialists.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide ongoing feedback to clients, management, and team members, and align programs with organizational goals.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong experience in program facilitation.
  • Exceptional follow-through, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education.

Language Proficiency: Proficient in English (Speak, Read, Write).
