Job description:

• Assist patients with immediate medical needs, usually under the direction of a nurse.
• Assist patients and nurses with a variety of physical and complex tasks related to patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Turning or moving patients
• Getting medical supplies together
• Bathing patients
• Grooming patients
• Feeding patients and keeping track of their food and drink consumption
• Checking vital indicators such as blood pressure and heart rate
• Answering phone calls from patients
• Information recording
• Cleaning the rooms and changing the bed sheets
• Stocking supplies
• Assisting in the performance of some medical operations
• Procedures for maintaining safety
