Job Title: Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse CWR 
Location: Neptune, NJ 07754 [ONSITE ROLE]
Duration: 3 Months

Hours Per Week: 36.00
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Days Per Week: 3.00

Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required, 3/6 holidays required, no on-call

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Tele CWR is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care in a step-down unit. The RN plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs, advocating for evidence-based practices and patient-centric care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.
• Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessments based on patient problems, physician medical diagnoses, and functional health frameworks.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions. Manage care of patients.
• Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Float to comparable units as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a Med Surg/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting.
• Strong Med Surg/Tele background.

Education Requirements:

Required: ASN
Preferred: BSN

Certifications & Licensure:

Required: BLS (must be AHA), NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license

Language Requirements: English (Speak, Read, Write)
