Job Title: CT Technologist - MSB - Contract
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11234
Duration: 3 Months
Hours Per Week: 37.5
Shift: 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm (Flexible)

Overview: A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled CT Technologist for a contract position. The role involves performing CT procedures with precision, maintaining equipment quality control, and ensuring patient safety. The ideal candidate must be licensed in New York State and certified by the ARRT with experience in CT imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CT Imaging: Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy in diagnostic imaging.
  • Quality Control: Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functionality before patient studies.
  • Patient Care: Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
  • Radiopharmaceuticals: Inject patients with radioactive material per physician’s orders, following prescribed protocols.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation, including filling out logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues.
  • Radiation Safety: Follow radiation safety guidelines and adhere to the ALARA principle.
  • Film Management: Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
  • Dose Management: Order and verify patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses according to policy and procedure.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensing: New York State License as a Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T).
  • Certification:
    • ARRT certification in Radiography and CT
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in CT imaging.
  • Education: Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.

Language Proficiency: Proficient in English (Speak, Read, Write).
