Position: Intensive Care Nurse 
Location: Mount Clemens, MI
Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift Details:

• Shift Description: Can have 4/12's with OT after 48 or 3/12's with OT after 40
• Shift Identifier: Nights
• Shift Start: 7:00 PM
• Shift End: 7:00 AM
• Shift Hours: 12 hours

Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. This role involves working collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. The RN will carry out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. The RN will direct, coordinate, and delegate activities to foster patient/family-centered care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plan and implement nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Make appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assume personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of experience - Required
• Completion of 1+ travel assignment - Required
• Primarily ICU but can float to CVICU - Preferred
• ACLS - Copy required in submission
• Michigan license verification is required for nurses. Provide LARA and Nursys; if there is a license hit, a write-up of what happened for the manager's review is in the traveler's best interest.
• A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required. All other professions outside of Nursing are not required but preferred.
• Full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
