Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technician to join our team. As an Ultrasound Technician, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations on patients, producing high-quality images for interpretation by physicians, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during procedures.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform ultrasound examinations using specialized equipment to capture images of various organs and tissues within the body.
  2. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and applying gel to the skin to facilitate imaging.
  3. Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic images, adjusting settings as needed to capture clear and accurate pictures.
  4. Analyze images to ensure they meet quality standards and accurately represent the area being examined.
  5. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review images, discuss findings, and provide accurate reports.
  6. Maintain patient records and documentation related to procedures performed, including images and reports.
  7. Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff during procedures.
  8. Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on advances in ultrasound technology and techniques.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Ultrasound Technician.
  2. Proficiency in performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and musculoskeletal.
  3. Knowledge of ultrasound equipment operation and maintenance.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  6. Certification in ultrasound technology from an accredited program.
  7. Current licensure or certification as required by state regulations.
