Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will support labor, delivery, and postpartum care while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients and newborns
Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery
Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries and procedures
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
Float within scope as needed to support facility requirements
Requirements:
Active RN license (must be in hand; pending licenses not accepted)
Minimum 1 year of L&D nursing experience

13-Week Assignment
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
First-time travelers accepted
Every other weekend required
Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week pay period
Required Certifications:
Labor & Delivery experience as outlined by unit requirements
Charge Nurse experience preferred or willingness to train into a charge role
Ability to manage high-risk obstetric patients
Licensure Requirements:
Alaska RN license preferred
