Location: Neptune, NJ 07754
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Hours: 36 Hours per Week

Pay: From $2,200/Week


Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care setting. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and care for Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
  • Conduct neurological and stroke assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition.
  • Document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate care.
  • Advocate for patient safety and evidence-based nursing practices.
  • Float to comparable units based on staffing needs.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.

Certifications & Licensure

  • Active New Jersey RN License or Multistate Compact RN License.
  • BLS (AHA) certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Telemetry Certification.
  • Stroke CEU (4 Contact Hours).

Schedule & Assignment Details

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Three holiday shifts required during the assignment
  • No on-call requirement
  • Floating to comparable units required
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue
