Duration: 16 Weeks (With High Possibility of Extension)
Shift & Schedule: Evening / Night Shift Available | 40 Hours Weekly
Pay Rate:
Local: $1,600 - $1,700/Week
Travel: $1,850 - $1,950/Week (Based on Eligibility and Experience)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care (LTC) for an exciting Contract opportunity in Vestal, NY.
Responsibilities
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to physician orders.
Perform medication passes and maintain medication administration records.
Monitor, assess, and report changes in resident conditions to the healthcare team.
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with facility policies and standards of practice.
Complete accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on assigned units.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
Deliver compassionate care to residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other chronic conditions.
Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in resident care planning and ongoing evaluations.
Required Qualifications
Active New York State Registered Nurse License required.
BLS Certification required.
Minimum one (1) year of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience required.
Candidates with recent Rehab, Med-Surg, Skilled Nursing, or Hospital experience will also be considered.
Must successfully pass a medication administration (Med Pass) test and clinical observation.
Strong attendance, reliability, and punctuality required.
Ability to work effectively with geriatric and memory-care populations.
No license hits permitted.
Proof of active NY license must be provided at the time of submission.
Experience performing medication administration and treatment management.
Strong documentation and charting skills.
Must be flexible with scheduling needs.
Every other weekend availability required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience caring for Alzheimer's and Dementia patient populations preferred.
