Position Overview

We are hiring an AODB & Common Use Systems Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity supporting a large-scale airport technology environment. This role is responsible for the administration, operational support, and technical ownership of Airport Operational Database (AODB) and Common Use Passenger Processing platforms. The ideal candidate will support airline operations, flight information management, gate and counter allocation, passenger processing services, baggage handling integrations, and downstream operational systems while serving as the primary technical resource for these mission-critical platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Airport Operational Database (AODB) platforms to ensure accurate and reliable flight operational data.

  • Support Common Use Passenger Processing Systems (CUPPS) and Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE) environments used by airline partners.

  • Monitor system health, performance, interfaces, and data feeds to maintain high availability and operational continuity.

  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for flight operations, passenger processing, gate management, and airline-related system issues.

  • Manage airline profiles, operational resources, gate assignments, counter configurations, and system parameters.

  • Support integrations with airline systems, Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS), baggage handling systems, security platforms, billing systems, and analytics solutions.

  • Coordinate incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and service restoration activities.

  • Work directly with vendors, airline partners, airport operations teams, and IT stakeholders on system issues and enhancements.

  • Support upgrades, patches, system enhancements, and onboarding of new airline services.

  • Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, configuration records, and support documentation.

  • Assist with planning, testing, and implementation of future platform upgrades or successor systems.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience supporting airport operational systems, airline technologies, or transportation-related platforms.

  • Hands-on experience supporting AODB, CUPPS, CUTE, or similar airport operational systems.

  • Experience with platforms such as Amadeus AODB, EASE 5, or equivalent airport technology solutions.

  • Strong understanding of airline operations, flight information management, gate and counter allocation, and passenger processing workflows.

  • Experience supporting integrations between airport operational systems and enterprise applications.

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex operational, application, and data-related issues in mission-critical environments.

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

  • Experience working directly with airlines, vendors, operations teams, and business stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of airport operations, aviation technology standards, and passenger service systems is highly preferred.
