Location: New York, NY

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM | 3x12 Hours | 36 Hours Per Week
Rotating Schedule | Saturday Rotation Required | 1-Hour Unpaid Lunch

Pay Rate:
Local: $60 - $70/hour
Travel: $70 - $80/hour

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an MRI Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and imaging protocols.

  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including safety screening and education.

  • Administer contrast media in accordance with NYS certification and facility protocols.

  • Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Operate MRI equipment and related imaging software (RIS, HIS, PACS).

  • Monitor patients during procedures and ensure safety throughout imaging.

  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to support accurate imaging interpretation.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and modality-specific systems.

  • Ensure compliance with MRI safety, patient safety, and infection control standards.

  • Participate in rotating schedules, including Saturdays and extended hours as required.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.

  • Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License.

  • NYS Certification to inject contrast media.

  • ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

  • Minimum 1 year of Diagnostic Imaging experience.

  • Proficiency with EMR, RIS, HIS, PACS, and modality-specific software.

  • Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols and patient care procedures.

  • Ability to work rotating schedules in a high-volume hospital environment.

  • Strong communication, technical, and patient management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior MRI experience.

  • Experience in a high-volume acute care hospital setting.

  • Advanced knowledge of MRI imaging protocols and contrast administration.

  • Experience working with multiple imaging platforms and software systems.

Additional Information

  • Orientation: 8 hours non-billable plus 8 hours at 70% non-billable rate.

  • Saturday rotation required.

  • High-volume diagnostic imaging environment.
