Shift & Schedule: 4x10s or 5x8s | 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM | On-Call Required | Weekends/Holidays as Needed
Pay rate : $70 - $78/hr

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an Electrophysiology Technologist (EP Tech) / Cardiovascular Technologist for an exciting Contract job based in Hackensack, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize procedure-specific equipment and sterile trays.

  • Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and monitoring.

  • Calibrate and test transducers for accurate pressure readings.

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.

  • Operate power injectors and related sterile support equipment.

  • Operate procedure table controls as requested.

  • Perform hemodynamic monitoring, calculations, and analysis.

  • Calculate and document cardiac output and oximetry readings.

  • Manage digital imaging systems, including storage and retrieval of patient records.

  • Assist with vascular access, sheath removal, and hemostatic closure devices.

  • Apply radial access bands while maintaining hemostasis.

  • Recognize and interpret cardiac arrhythmias.

  • Support inventory management and equipment readiness.

  • Maintain and calibrate diagnostic and technical equipment.

  • Participate in Cath Lab on-call responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program, Radiologic Technology Program, or Associate Degree in Applied Science (AAS).

  • Minimum Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology Lab experience.

  • Knowledge of Electrophysiology mapping systems.

  • Knowledge of cardiac ablations.

  • Knowledge of pacemaker and implantable device procedures.

  • Knowledge of sterile scrub techniques.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

  • AHA BLS Certification.

  • ACLS Certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire).

  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), RCES, or Radiologic Technologist License.

  • Must successfully obtain RCIS certification within one year of hire if not already certified.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrophysiology Lab experience.

  • Cardiac mapping and ablation procedure experience.

  • Pacemaker and ICD implantation procedure experience.

  • Experience with circulatory support devices such as IABP and Impella.
