Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU
Location: Napa, CA
Type: Local or Travel Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 5 x 8-Hour Shifts | 40 Hours Per Week | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay rate:
Local: $50 - $57/hr
Travel: $60 - $65/hr Including Stipend (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU for an exciting Local or Travel job in Napa, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures.

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the PACU setting.

  • Observe and document patient vital signs, pain levels, and recovery progress.

  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.

  • Identify and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and emergencies.

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

  • Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and discharge instructions.

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of recent PACU or critical care nursing experience.

  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

  • Experience caring for post-surgical patients and monitoring recovery from anesthesia.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to variable shift schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a high-volume PACU setting.

  • Experience working with diverse surgical patient populations.

  • Strong patient education and discharge planning skills.

  • Excellent collaboration and interdisciplinary communication abilities.
