Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care throughout the childbirth process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and maintain professional nursing standards in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing (BSN Preferred)
  • Active Massachusetts RN License
  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • ACLS Certification (Required)
  • NRP Certification (Required)
  • Fetal Monitoring Course (Intermediate or Advanced) completed within the last 2 years
  • Successful completion of Pharmacology Exam
  • Recent OB/Labor & Delivery experience within the last 2 years
  • CPI Certification Preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Assess physical, psychological, and social needs of patients throughout hospitalization.
  • Develop and update individualized patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Monitor labor progression and fetal well-being.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff when needed.
  • Utilize computerized nursing documentation and information systems.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and postpartum care.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff.
