Location: Bronx, NY

Job Type: Contract

Schedule: 3 x 11.5 Hour Shifts (34.5 Hours Weekly)

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide respiratory care services for adult, pediatric, critical care, emergency trauma, and neonatal patients. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience in acute care settings and be comfortable working with diverse patient populations.

Required Qualifications

Education
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy required

Licensure & Certifications
• Active New York Respiratory Therapist License required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC required
• BLS Certification required

Experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in:

  • Adult General Care
  • Pediatric General Care
  • Adult Critical Care
  • Pediatric Critical Care
  • Emergency Trauma
  • Neonatal Care

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Pulmonary Function Technician (RPFT) Certification
• ACLS Certification
• PALS Certification
• NRP Certification

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments and interventions.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient respiratory status.
• Deliver respiratory care to adult, pediatric, neonatal, emergency, and critical care patients.
• Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and trauma situations.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and treatment records.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and care plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
