Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Critical Care (Adult ICU)

Location: Syracuse, New York

Employment Type: 14 Weeks - Contract / Travel

Position Summary:

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Neuro Critical Care to join an Adult Neuro ICU team. This role requires strong clinical expertise in high-acuity settings, with the ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, Level 1 trauma environment.

Schedule Requirements:

• Night shift
• Must work every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Fixed schedules and extended time-off requests may not be accommodated

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a Neuro Critical Care/ICU setting.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans.
• Monitor critically ill patients, including neurological status and vital functions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records systems.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (within the last 2 years).
• At least 1 year of Neuro ICU experience.
• Experience working in hospitals of similar size and acuity (Level 1 trauma preferred).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records.
• Experience in Level 1 trauma centers.
• Emergency Department (ED) experience.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have a clean professional license history (no suspensions or investigations).
• Must not have been involved in professional liability claims.
• Authorization to work in the United States required.
• Successful completion of pre-employment health screening, drug testing, and background check.
