Job Title: Inpatient Clinical Dietitian
Location: Syracuse, NY
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks (With high possibility of extension or permanent placement)
Shift & Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 42.5 Hours Per Week
Pay Rate:
Local Pay: $2700.00 - $2800.00 Weekly
Traveler Pay: $3050.00 - $3150.00 Weekly (Stipend Provided)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Inpatient Clinical Dietitian for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse, NY.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive nutrition screenings and assessments using the Malnutrition Screening Tool.
Identify, diagnose, and monitor malnutrition across diverse patient populations.
Develop and implement individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) plans.
Document nutrition assessments, interventions, and outcomes within the electronic medical record.
Utilize physician and practitioner-driven protocols to initiate or modify dietary orders.
Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition support therapies, including formula selection and rate adjustments.
Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers.
Participate in facility-wide and departmental Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
Participate in multidisciplinary patient care rounds and departmental meetings.
Support staff development initiatives and contribute to improved clinical outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
State licensure/certification where applicable.
Minimum 1–2 years of clinical inpatient experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) credential.
2+ years of experience in inpatient clinical care or critical care settings.
Experience working with pediatric and neonatal/infant populations.
