Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract | 8 Weeks ((With high possibility of extension or permanent placement))
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Rotating 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM | 36 Hours Per Week
Pay Rate:
Local Pay: $2850.00 - $2950.00 Weekly
Traveler Pay: $3500.00 - $3600.00 Weekly
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a MRI Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for MRI procedures, verify screening forms, and address patient questions and concerns.
Position patients accurately and utilize appropriate coils and imaging parameters to optimize image quality.
Administer contrast media as directed by the radiologist in accordance with certification requirements.
Operate advanced MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Monitor and maintain MRI equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Coordinate patient care and workflow throughout the imaging process.
Maintain accurate documentation within EMR, RIS, HIS, and PACS systems.
Adhere to all MRI safety standards and magnetic environment protocols.
Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and quality requirements.
Provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.
New York State (NYS) License in Radiography.
NYS certification to inject contrast media.
ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR).
Must maintain continuing education credits per ARRT requirements.
Minimum 1 year of Diagnostic Imaging experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on MRI experience preferred.
Experience working with EMR, RIS, HIS, and PACS systems.
Strong patient care and communication skills.
