MRI Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Pay Rate: $65.00 - $90.00 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)
Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension or permanent placement)
Schedule:
• Weekend Day Shift
• Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• 36 Hours Per Week
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic MRI procedures in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, exceptional patient care skills, and experience operating MRI equipment while ensuring patient safety and image quality.
Responsibilities
• Perform MRI examinations according to established imaging protocols.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for MRI procedures.
• Utilize surface coils and imaging techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Review and complete MRI safety screenings prior to procedures.
• Educate patients regarding MRI procedures and address concerns to ensure comfort.
• Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and maintain safety standards.
• Administer contrast media as required and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Ensure compliance with MRI safety regulations and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to provide quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
Education
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
Licensure & Certifications
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (LRT).
• ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
• Injection/IV Certification required.
Experience
• Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, MRI physics, and imaging protocols.
• Two or more years of MRI experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high-quality imaging standards.
