Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – Travel Contract

Location: Greenville, SC
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (3x12 or 4x12) | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric Patients

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to provide respiratory care services in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience, be comfortable working with ventilated patients, and possess experience in a Level I Trauma environment. This role requires proficiency in advanced respiratory therapies, airway management, and critical care procedures while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Administer respiratory treatments, medications, and oxygen therapy.
  • Perform airway management procedures including suctioning and tracheostomy care.
  • Assist with extubation procedures and ventilator management.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and respiratory equipment.
  • Administer aerosolized medications and inhalation therapies.
  • Collect sputum specimens and perform pulmonary hygiene procedures.
  • Manage patients requiring BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), and Trach Collar therapies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Document patient care accurately in EPIC EMR.
  • Float to qualified units or campuses as needed based on facility requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina Respiratory Therapy License.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience.
  • Level I Trauma experience required.
  • BLS Certification.
  • ACLS Certification.
