Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment in Anchorage, AK. The Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care to neonatal, maternal, and adult patients in a fast-paced acute care setting. Responsibilities include performing respiratory assessments, administering treatments, managing ventilators, responding to emergency situations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care environments and be comfortable working variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and floating to similar units as needed.

Assignment Details

  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: 3x12 Variable Shift (Most likely Nights)
  • Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
  • On-Call: No
  • Guaranteed Hours: 60 Hours per 2 Weeks
  • Floating: May float to similar units as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 Years of Respiratory Therapy Experience
  • Active Respiratory Therapist License
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • AWHONN Intermediate
  • AWHONN Advanced
  • NRP Certification
  • Charge Experience Preferred (Training Available)

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care for neonatal, maternal, and adult patients.
  • Perform respiratory assessments and treatments.
  • Manage ventilators and respiratory support equipment.
  • Assist with emergency respiratory interventions.
  • Support Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, PACU, OR, and OB Triage patients.
  • Monitor patient response and document care accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Float to similar units as needed based on facility requirements.
