Shift & Schedule: 37.5 Hours/Week | 7.5 Hours/Day | 5 Days/Week
Pay Rate: $2600/week to $3000/week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Care (Med/Surg) for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients.
Administer medications and treatments while maintaining accurate documentation.
Perform wound care, infection control procedures, IV therapy, and catheter insertion.
Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment as needed.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals on patient care and discharge planning.
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatments, and recovery plans.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with nursing standards and protocols.
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (required for Queens locations).
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing experience.
Experience within the past year in a large acute care hospital setting or post-acute care facility.
Physical Assessment skills.
Medication Administration experience.
Wound Care & Infection Control experience.
IV Therapy experience.
Post-Operative Care experience.
Patient Education experience.
Telemetry Monitoring experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in high-volume acute care hospital environments.
Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and patient care coordination skills.
