Location: Vestal, NY
Duration: 16 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 5x8 Hours | 11:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Weekly Pay: $1,450 – $1,522 (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join a long-term care team providing compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing and memory care setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality care to residents, including those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient well-being and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions as prescribed.
  • Monitor resident conditions and promptly report significant changes to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using electronic medical records.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge processes as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated resident care.
  • Support residents with activities that promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
  • Respond appropriately to resident needs, emergencies, and changes in condition.
  • Adhere to facility policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program.

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active New York State LPN License (license must be in good standing).
  • Current BLS Certification.

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of Long-Term Care experience preferred.
  • Candidates with recent experience in rehabilitation, medical-surgical, or hospital settings will also be considered.
  • Experience caring for residents with Alzheimer's disease and dementia preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Proof of active nursing license required at submission.
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
  • Local candidates accepted.
  • Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted and approved prior to offer acceptance.
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
