Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinic/Ambulatory (Correctional Health) | Contract
Location: Flushing, NY
Duration: 12 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Hours: 36 Hours Per Week
Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care within a clinic/ambulatory correctional health setting.
Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, and wound care.
Conduct patient assessments and triage medical requests.
Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Respond to medical emergencies and acute patient care needs.
Maintain accurate and confidential electronic medical records.
Follow institutional safety, security, and infection control protocols.
Deliver patient-centered care while adhering to correctional health standards.
Preferred:
Previous correctional health experience.
Strong emergency response and triage skills.
Experience working in ambulatory or outpatient clinic settings.
Requirements:
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) or higher from an accredited nursing program.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or outpatient clinic nursing experience.
Proven experience with IV insertion and phlebotomy.
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
Ability to work effectively in a structured correctional healthcare environment.
