Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Day Shift | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM


Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist for an immediate start in a clinical imaging environment. The ideal candidate will have experience performing high-quality mammography procedures and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography and stereotactic breast procedures under the direction of a radiologist
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort
  • Accurately position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images
  • Maintain compliance with quality standards including ACR Mammography QA/QC guidelines and MQSA regulations
  • Follow established protocols for imaging procedures and patient safety
  • Track and document patient information within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Ensure proper documentation for billing and reporting purposes
  • Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or issues
  • Participate in continuing education to meet certification and compliance requirements
  • Support overall departmental operations and ensure high standards of patient care

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (AAS) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
  • Active New York State license/registration or eligibility required
  • ARRT certification in Mammography or eligibility (must obtain within 1 year of hire)
  • Minimum 1 year of progressive experience in mammography or radiologic technology
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • ARRT credentialed in Breast Mammography
  • Experience with stereotactic breast procedures
  • Experience in a high-volume imaging environment
