Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care / ICU (Nights)

Duration: 13 Weeks (High potential for extension or permanent placement)


Compensation

  • Local Pay: $2,000 – $2,100 per week
  • Traveler Pay: $2,450 – $2,550 per week
  • Hours: 36 hours guaranteed (Overtime after 40 hours)

Shift & Schedule

  • Shift: Nights (NOC)
  • Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week
  • Additional: Holiday rotations required

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable ICU Registered Nurse for a critical care contract opportunity in a community hospital setting. This role is ideal for an experienced RN who thrives in high-acuity environments and can work independently while delivering exceptional patient care during night shifts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct bedside care to critically ill patients in an ICU/CCU environment.
  • Continuously monitor and assess hemodynamic and physiological status.
  • Rapidly recognize and respond to life-threatening changes in patient conditions.
  • Administer and titrate:
    • IV medications
    • Vasoactive drips
    • Sedation and critical care therapies
  • Operate and manage advanced equipment including:
    • Ventilators
    • Cardiac monitors
    • Specialized ICU devices
  • Maintain accurate, real-time documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans.
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control, safety, and hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – California.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of recent ICU / Critical Care experience.
  • Strong experience managing high-acuity patients and complex clinical scenarios.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (experience with CPSI/Evident preferred).

Additional Requirements

  • Must provide proof of negative TB screening within 12 months prior to start date.
