Social Services / LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker)

Location: Spokane, WA
Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Evening Shift (4:00 PM – 2:00 AM)

Requirements:

• Active Washington State LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT license
• First-time travelers accepted
• Experience conducting crisis risk assessments for adult and pediatric patients
• Emergency Department or hospital behavioral health experience preferred
• Strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills
• Experience working with patients experiencing mental health crises

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial, psychiatric, and crisis risk assessments for adult and pediatric emergency department patients
• Evaluate patients for safety concerns, suicide risk, and appropriate levels of care
• Develop discharge plans and coordinate referrals to community resources and behavioral health services
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Advocate for patient needs and facilitate continuity of care

Assignment Details:

• Float may be required between facilities performing similar duties
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No on-call requirements
• Expected caseload ratio: 1:7

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hospital or Emergency Department social work experience
• Adult and pediatric crisis intervention experience
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
• Strong clinical assessment, de-escalation, and care coordination skills
