Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy / Special Procedures
Location: York, ME
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 4x9s
Hours: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Variable Shifts as Needed)
On-Call: Required
We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy / Special Procedures Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in York, Maine. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled procedural nurse who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional patient care throughout the procedural experience.
Requirements:
Active Maine Registered Nurse (RN) License or valid Compact License required.
Minimum 5 years of overall nursing experience required.
Minimum 1–2 years of Endoscopy and/or Critical Care (ICU/ER) experience required.
Current BLS/BCLS Certification required.
Current ACLS Certification required.
Strong patient assessment and procedural nursing skills.
Experience with procedural sedation and patient monitoring preferred.
Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic and specialized procedures.
Manage patient care during pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases.
Monitor patient vital signs, sedation status, and recovery progress.
Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Prepare and maintain procedural equipment and supplies.
Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and procedural activities.
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Participate in required on-call coverage and holiday rotations as assigned.
Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Additional Information:
Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
On-call rotation required.
Holiday coverage may be required based on department needs.
