Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer
Location: Vancouver, BC
Note: Prior experience in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom is non-negotiable.

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong background in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments. The ideal candidate will lead cloud engineering initiatives and support enterprise transformation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cloud engineering initiatives across BFSI, Public Sector, and Telecom environments.
  • Support cloud modernization initiatives for core banking, payments, citizen services, OSS/BSS platforms, billing systems, and telecom customer platforms.
  • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting telecom network operations, 5G platforms, and edge computing environments.
  • Provide technical leadership for enterprise cloud transformation programs.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams supporting banking, government, and telecom operations.
  • Implement cloud security, governance, compliance, and operational controls.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support cloud engineering best practices.
  • Drive automation, monitoring, disaster recovery, and operational resilience initiatives.
  • Optimize cloud performance, scalability, and cost management.
  • Ensure cloud environments meet regulatory, privacy, and security requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer within BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments is required.
  • Experience supporting cloud platforms for banking systems, government applications, OSS/BSS, billing, charging, or telecom customer platforms.
  • Experience leading cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Understanding of governance, compliance, regulatory, and security requirements.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Cloud certification preferred.
