Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse – Cardiac & Vascular Clinic

Location: Flower Mound, TX
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Hours: 40 Hours per Week

Compensation

Local Pay Range: $20–$29 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a busy outpatient Cardiac & Vascular Clinic. This role supports healthcare providers in delivering high-quality cardiovascular patient care, including assisting with diagnostic testing, medication administration, and clinical procedures.

The ideal candidate will have recent outpatient clinic experience, strong clinical skills, and experience working with cardiac and vascular patient populations. Candidates must be flexible and willing to support nearby clinic locations as operational needs require.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and assist with cardiac stress testing procedures.
• Administer medications, including dobutamine, as ordered by providers.
• Assist with venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Support physicians and advanced practice providers with cardiac and vascular patient care.
• Monitor patient status and communicate findings appropriately.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation within electronic medical records.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Ensure compliance with clinic protocols, infection prevention standards, and patient safety guidelines.
• Float to nearby clinic locations when needed to support patient care operations.
• Assist with additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Verification of highest level of education required through official documentation.

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Texas Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Experience

• Minimum one (1) year of recent outpatient healthcare clinic experience within the last three (3) years.
• Experience in one or more of the following settings:
  • Cardiology Clinic
  • Vascular Clinic
  • Family Practice
  • Internal Medicine
  • Urgent Care
  • Other outpatient physician practices

Skills & Knowledge

• Experience with cardiac stress testing required.
• Experience with venipuncture and specimen collection required.
• Knowledge of cardiac and vascular patient care.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

• Must be willing to float to nearby clinic locations as needed.
• Ability to successfully complete employment and education verification requirements.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and provide exceptional patient-centered care.
