Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist (Breast Imaging)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 42.5 Hours/Week

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Ultrasound Technologist (Breast Imaging) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse, NY.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic sonographic examinations
• Perform abdominal, OB/GYN, and breast ultrasound procedures according to established protocols
• Obtain and review patient medical histories relevant to examinations
• Differentiate normal and pathological findings using clinical judgment and technical expertise
• Communicate preliminary findings and pertinent information to radiologists
• Maintain daily operations of the sonography department and patient scheduling workflow
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality assurance procedures
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with facility policies and procedures
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professional standards

Requirements

• Graduate of a CHEA- and USDOE-recognized accredited Ultrasound Program required
• RDMS Certification in Abdominal and OB/GYN Sonography required
• Minimum 1 year of Ultrasound Technologist experience required
• Breast Imaging experience required
• Strong experience in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Experience performing Breast, Abdominal, and OB/GYN Ultrasound examinations
• Strong patient assessment and history collection skills
• Experience with quality assurance and equipment maintenance
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced imaging environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience communicating diagnostic findings with radiologists
• Strong medical documentation and patient care skills
