Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Syracuse, NY
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule

  • Day Shift

  • Monday – Friday

  • Shift Timing: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • 8.5 Hours per Day

  • Total Weekly Hours: 42.5 Hours

We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join a healthcare facility in Syracuse, New York. The ideal candidate will have strong breast imaging experience and be skilled in performing diagnostic sonographic examinations independently while delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations independently using sonographic equipment

  • Accurately identify and differentiate between normal and pathological findings during examinations

  • Obtain and review patient medical histories prior to procedures

  • Communicate examination findings and relevant information to radiologists

  • Maintain daily operations of the sonography department, including patient scheduling and workflow coordination

  • Ensure proper maintenance, quality assurance, and functionality of ultrasound equipment

  • Follow departmental protocols and patient safety guidelines

  • Provide compassionate and professional patient care throughout procedures

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ultrasound program accredited by CHEA and USDOE

  • RDMS Certification in Abdominal and OB/GYN required

  • Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience required

  • Breast imaging experience required

  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic sonography procedures and patient care

  • Ability to work independently and use clinical judgment effectively

  • Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
