Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist – Breast Imaging

Location: Syracuse, NY
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist with Breast Imaging experience to join a diagnostic imaging team in Syracuse, New York. This role is responsible for independently performing high-quality sonographic examinations, maintaining daily ultrasound operations, and communicating findings effectively with radiologists and clinical teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong OB/GYN and abdominal ultrasound expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations independently using sonographic equipment

  • Conduct breast ultrasound imaging procedures with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Perform OB/GYN and abdominal sonography examinations according to departmental protocols

  • Obtain and review patient medical histories relevant to examinations

  • Identify and differentiate between normal and pathological findings using clinical judgment

  • Communicate preliminary findings and observations to radiologists

  • Maintain daily sonography department workflow and scheduling coordination

  • Perform equipment maintenance, quality assurance checks, and troubleshooting as needed

  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality during examinations

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records

  • Follow all departmental, hospital, and regulatory standards and procedures

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ultrasound program accredited by CHEA and USDOE

  • RDMS Certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN required

  • Minimum one year of ultrasound experience required

  • Breast imaging experience required

  • Strong knowledge of sonographic anatomy, pathology, and imaging techniques

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment during examinations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must complete pre-employment health clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hospital or outpatient imaging settings preferred

  • Strong patient care and workflow management skills
