Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Ganado, AZ
Shift: Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts
Duration: 13 Weeks

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Ganado, Arizona. This role is ideal for a skilled L&D nurse who is comfortable working in a critical access hospital and delivering high-quality maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced environment.

The RN will support the Labor & Delivery unit, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care for mothers and infants throughout the childbirth experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn stages

  • Monitor maternal vital signs and fetal heart rates throughout labor and delivery

  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments

  • Assist physicians and providers during labor, delivery, and emergency procedures

  • Recognize and respond promptly to obstetric and neonatal complications

  • Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

  • Support emergency response situations in the L&D unit

  • Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required

  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred

  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required

  • Previous travel nursing or Critical Access Hospital experience preferred

  • Strong fetal monitoring and emergency response skills required

  • Ability to work independently on night shifts with minimal supervision

  • Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills

  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to maternal and newborn care
