Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: Ganado, AZ
Shift: Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts
Duration: 13 Weeks
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Ganado, Arizona. This role is ideal for a skilled L&D nurse who is comfortable working in a critical access hospital and delivering high-quality maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced environment.
The RN will support the Labor & Delivery unit, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care for mothers and infants throughout the childbirth experience.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn stages
Monitor maternal vital signs and fetal heart rates throughout labor and delivery
Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments
Assist physicians and providers during labor, delivery, and emergency procedures
Recognize and respond promptly to obstetric and neonatal complications
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Support emergency response situations in the L&D unit
Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Previous travel nursing or Critical Access Hospital experience preferred
Strong fetal monitoring and emergency response skills required
Ability to work independently on night shifts with minimal supervision
Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to maternal and newborn care
