Job Title: RN – Long Term Acute Care (LTAC)

Location: Columbia, MO
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Nights – 36 Hours Weekly

Compensation:

  • Traveler Pay: $52–$55/hr ($1,794–$1,897/week) based on experience
  • Local Pay: $45–$48/hr ($1,552–$1,656/week) based on experience

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) to provide exceptional nursing care for medically complex patients in a high-acuity healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have experience managing ventilators, tracheostomies, IV drips, and critically ill patients while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments for medically complex LTAC patients
  • Monitor and manage ventilators, tracheostomies, IV drips, and other advanced patient care treatments
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patient vital signs, laboratory results, cardiac rhythms, and responses to treatment
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records
  • Assess and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards
  • Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery goals

Required Qualifications:

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active Missouri RN License or Compact RN License
  • Current AHA BLS Certification required

Experience:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of LTAC nursing experience required
  • Experience caring for critically ill or medically complex patients preferred

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong critical-thinking and clinical assessment skills
  • Experience with ventilator and tracheostomy patient care
  • Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and IV medication administration
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-acuity environment
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
