Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health
Location: Belle Mead, NJ
Schedule: Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 3 Shifts/Week (36 Hours) | Every Other Weekend | No Holidays | No On-Call | Floating Required
Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health for an exciting Contract assignment in Belle Mead, NJ.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform nursing admission assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct patient care for adolescent, adult, and older adult behavioral health patients
  • Administer medications and treatments per hospital policies and procedures
  • Monitor patient responses to medications and interventions and document appropriately
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and patient care coordination
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation including assessments, progress notes, and care plans
  • Conduct suicide assessments, safety monitoring, and crisis intervention as needed
  • Support therapeutic milieu and maintain patient safety using least restrictive interventions
  • Respond appropriately to behavioral crises, emergencies, and code situations
  • Assist with orientation and support of new staff and students as assigned

Requirements:

  • ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Active NJ RN License or Compact RN License required
  • Current BLS (AHA) Certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of inpatient Behavioral Health RN experience required
  • Float Pool experience required
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health nursing, crisis intervention, and therapeutic patient care
  • Experience with patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced inpatient behavioral health settings
