Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Hyannis, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Weekly

Compensation:

• Pay Rate: $66–$78/hr based on experience

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage acute and emergent patient conditions while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment and interventions
• Provide emergency nursing care for patients with acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform IV starts, IV medication administration, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, including physical, psychological, and social assessments
• Direct and support ancillary staff while maintaining professional nursing standards
• Serve as charge nurse and clinical resource person as needed
• Adhere to patient safety protocols, infection prevention standards, and confidentiality requirements
• Respond effectively to emergency situations in a high-acuity environment
• Deliver exceptional patient-centered care and service excellence

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• Successful completion of facility Pharmacology Exam
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Exam

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of recent ER RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of ER travel nursing experience required
• Demonstrated experience with:
  • IV administration and IV starts
  • Ventilator care
  • Telemetry monitoring

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of approved De-escalation Certification Course
• TNCC Certification
• ENPC Certification
• PALS Certification

Additional Requirements:

• Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Must work every other weekend and rotating holidays
• No requested time off (RTO) permitted during the week of July 4th
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure emergency care environment
• Strong communication, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills
